Really nice, looks like all the edge rendering issues have been fixed. I really like the glow effects, although maybe the purplish color could be made a more solid red. How does that work with your setup? Are the particles systems different colors and being mixed, or is it a single texture over one system?

The original image sequence that is mapped onto the mesh is a single particle system with a multi-coloured texture applied. Re-render that and then re-render the main images, and it will come out different colours.

I was trying to avoid using red as such because this is for Nia, rather than Rhagen, and I thought it best to keep them obviously separate.

Duh! (at myself) Scratch the color statement! Color is fine the way it is.

CJ,

I know you did a concept model of Rhagen, cos I've seen the concept. Was that in blender? I ask cos I was playng with fire textures this eveing and I wondered if there was a model to try it out on.

Here's an avi:

The idea is that this would be used for the actual mesh of the wings or whatever, whilst the particle flame system would be used over the top to get the movement.

We needed a flame effect for the burners in the temple scene, but they needed to be able to throw the correct flicker effect on the walls, so I did a few tests, and came up with this test. I put it on the FMS at ID 32

http://www.openworldfilm.com/owffms/FMS ... php?id=276

It works by UV mapping a video of the real flame onto a plane, but then taking a separately rendered variation of the file, which UV maps a piece of paper placed next to the flame onto full screen, then this is used as a projection image on the lamps. Because the paper is lit frame by frame by the flame image, it changes colour and brightness to match the flame.
