This section is here to act as a guide to the project, the website, and the features. Due to the rapid growth of this website and community, this page will avoid specific topics, and will instead focus on the overall points a new member needs to know.

Hey everyone!
Well, we’ve had a slower couple of weeks. For one, my internet has been spotty at best for almost 9 days now, hence the extreme lateness of this post! Seems everyone’s been pretty tied up in their own lives, which happens. Nonetheless, there have been some interesting developments to note.
First, in the storyboard dept, Travellingmatt has posted panels for Scene 7, found here:

Second, the first draft of the “Talent script has been posted. This is the script the voice actors will be using to work from, and it is …
Hey everyone,
This week saw more work on the storyboards. The first round of these is nearly complete. Over the week, I will start placing them into a timeline with a rough edit for timing to establish the first motion version of the film.
The most recent updates are as follows:
Hardhead11 has added a variation to the establishing shot of scene 4, found here:

Hey everyone!
So, I have been extra busy this last couple of weeks, and have fallen VERY behind in these updates. Considering that we’ve had a relatively slow couple of weeks, I am combining these updates into one single post.
First, some notes about the project status. We’ve been fighting against a particular roadblock since the beginning of this year, and while we keep making good progress, we still aren’t performing to full potential. This has everything to do with people’s schedules, mine included, but I do believe that we can overcome …
Hey everyone!
First, apologies for the delay in the posting of this recap. Long story….
This last week, there was more activity on the Nia thread, especially discussing rendering techniques. There are some nice conceptual posts there, well worth checking out.

We did have a semi-successful meeting, and officially extended the storyboard deadline to this coming weekend, due to the request of almost everyone who was present. I’d like us to have a more well-attended meeting this weekend or next, whatever the preference of everyone is.
That wraps it up for this recap!

Well another week has passed. The 86th week of OWF so far. Heres whats been in the now.
This week’s meeting was another(almost) no show. No word yet on if it is being postponed or not. Is anyone updating the OWF toolbar?
travellingmatt has done some deep hard thinking about the hair and cloth sims, which you can find in the Nia thread and the Hair and rendering thread.
HARDHEAD11 has posted a great video that I believe we all should view. http://web.me.com/laboratoryfilms/Laboratory_Films/Production_System_Film.html
Tictoon has updated the Scene 9 thread with some new storyboards.

Hey everyone!
With the holiday weekend and everyone working on various projects, this last week was a little quieter than normal. The only real news to report is that last weekend’s meeting and deadline will be moved to this following weekend. This is because so few people were available during this last week.
Just a cue on what’s up for this week- this weekend should see us close to complete on the storyboards, and the completion of the FMS. It’s looking like the FMS may not be ready that quickly, and we …
